FOUNDATION · PROGRESS · FREEDOM

If I Could Wish for One Thing

it would be, ...

  • to dance freely and easily at a milonga.
  • to feel brave enough to ask anyone to dance.
  • to feel a deep connection.
  • to be able to dance with anyone.
  • to interpret the music freely, with my own feelings.
  • to always dance musically.
  • to dance milonga freely and creatively.
  • to dance in a connected embrace.
  • ...

And this is how your wish becomes reality

Tailored to Your Level

We know that everyone brings different prior experience. That's why our courses take these different levels into account, creating the ideal learning experience for you. You're met exactly where you are, and can grow with the group at your own pace.

The Music and Its Diversity

The range of tango music is huge. There are countless composers, singers and musical styles. All of them only come to life through your interpretation. Because improvisation doesn't arise from chance, but from clarity. And it's exactly this clarity that we give you - as a tool with which you choose and dance your moments within the music. For your musicality. For your interpretation. For your tango.

A Unique Community

With us, you'll find a community defined by trust and openness. Everyone is invited to be themselves and to show it. This creates a unique atmosphere in class that allows you and everyone else to learn in a relaxed, straightforward way.

A Dancer Who Expresses Themselves

You won't memorise rigid step sequences or figures. Instead, we'll teach you how to move within the music in a relaxed way, free of pressure, and interpret it freely - so freely that you rediscover yourself in the dance and can truly enjoy it.

From Simple to Complex

No master has ever fallen from the sky. That's why, with us, you'll learn everything from simple to complex. Combined with an ever-present foundation, this will help you dance more consciously. From your strong foundation, things that seem complex will suddenly become simple for you.

Freedom and Responsibility

For you to be truly free in tango, there are a few essential points. The most important is the fact that both partners, whatever role they dance, carry exactly the same responsibility. With this understanding, you truly become an active, present follower, or a strong, sensitive leader. For your freedom. For your interpretation. For your connection.

A Holistic Understanding

The goal of our classes is to build your knowledge. We explain the "why" and the "how", and through the common thread that runs through all our courses, we can give you a holistic picture. Here, the fundamental principles are key, so that you can dance without strain or excessive tension and stay connected with your partner. For your understanding. For your success. For your connection together.

What Our Students Say

I had an absolute blast at the tango course. Until now, I´d only ever known those classic dance courses in standard dances, and this was completely different. It was a genuinely new and lovely experience, because it´s really about the feeling rather than some sequence of steps you somehow have to master. And because of that, it was, on the one hand, seriously challenging, but really, really exciting and lovely too.

Hanna L.Student

It's also lovely to see how happy they are for you when you make progress and find more enjoyment and pleasure in your dancing. They dance and teach with real passion.

Peter K.Student for 12 months

Thank you so much for the lovely lessons! It´s a shame I had sooo little basic knowledge and couldn´t yet put much of your good explanations into practice. But thanks to your individual explanations, I learned a lot. It was great!!

Frequently Asked Questions

You'll quickly pick up the essence of tango. This happens through just a handful of movements, so you'll soon find your feet at a milonga - the tango social dance evening - and have fun doing it. But you'll also keep enjoying the classes in the long run, as there's always something new to discover.

You can come on your own - a partner isn't necessary. Everyone who comes alone rotates partners, and many who come with a partner rotate too.

Not at all - in fact, it's an advantage.

No, you don't need any prior experience. Tango is so simple that walking together is already a dance element in itself - and we can all do that!

No, if you come together, it's up to you whether you switch or not.

You generally choose one role, and that's the one you'll primarily learn. However, you'll find the foundation is the same for both, so you can switch quickly later on if you'd like to, or simply deepen your chosen role further.

Depending on how often you attend the beginners' classes, it takes 1-3 months.

No. In tango, you don't need to memorise countless step sequences. Instead, you learn a manageable set of movement possibilities and how to combine them flexibly. That way, you can dance freely and musically from quite early on.

Yes, because you're not learning a classical instrument - you're dancing with the feeling that the music sparks in you. Your body will automatically start to move musically as a result.

We generally have no age limit, though for minors prior arrangement is required.

Everyone. From complete beginners to experienced dancers - everyone is welcome. We offer a wide range, so there's something suitable for everyone, whatever your level.

A práctica is a practice space where you work independently on your own individual topics. The teachers are there for you and your specific questions, though not to the extent of a private lesson. In a group class, on the other hand, everyone works on the same set topic together.

We generally have no age limit, though for minors prior arrangement is required.

If you can't make it on time, that's not a problem. Just arrive whenever you can and we'll bring you into the group. Please wait to greet your friends until the explanations are finished.

No, special dance shoes aren't necessary. That said, it's a good idea to bring shoes with a smoother sole so you can glide slightly on a wooden floor, and that you feel comfortable in.

No, high heels aren't necessary. Flat shoes work just as well.

You're free to choose whichever shoes you like - trainers, your milonga shoes, or heels. If you stop feeling comfortable in your chosen pair partway through, you can switch at any time.

Wear whatever makes you happy and feel comfortable.

It's a good idea to bring something to drink and, if you tend to perspire a lot, a towel and a change of top. Beyond that, just bring whatever helps you spend the time with joy, fun and energy.
