So that you develop this feeling, ...

Natural, Open, Curious

Tango arises from movements and sequences that come naturally to your body. This means you already bring everything you need to dance from the very first class. It doesn't matter whether you consider yourself musically talented or not. In tango, you'll playfully develop a feel for the music and become more and more comfortable. What matters most is openness and curiosity to discover something new, allowing yourself to engage with the learning process step by step.

What Makes Tango Special

True tango is the unique connection and communication that two people share in that moment. It happens non-verbally and is completely different every time. The music is always different, as is our own mood in that moment, the mood of the other person, and the atmosphere around us. This is how we always create a unique connection with another person.

A Dancer Who Expresses Themselves

With us, you won't memorise rigid step sequences or figures. Instead, you'll learn how to move within the music in a relaxed way, free of pressure, and interpret it freely - so freely that you rediscover yourself in the dance and can truly enjoy it.

Thank you so much for the lovely lessons! It´s a shame I had sooo little basic knowledge and couldn´t yet put much of your good explanations into practice. But thanks to your individual explanations, I learned a lot. It was great!!

I can honestly only speak positively about the two of them and their tango classes, because for me this was my first ever encounter with dance lessons, and from the very beginning I had the feeling that the two of them placed a great deal of value on the atmosphere in particular. They tried to meet everyone exactly where they were right from the start, and in particular they met me where I was, someone who finds quite a lot of things uncomfortable at the beginning. That´s why I can only recommend visiting the two of them and their classes.

Frequently Asked Questions

You'll quickly pick up the essence of tango. This happens through just a handful of movements, so you'll soon find your feet at a milonga - the tango social dance evening - and have fun doing it. But you'll also keep enjoying the classes in the long run, as there's always something new to discover.

You can come on your own - a partner isn't necessary. Everyone who comes alone rotates partners, and many who come with a partner rotate too.

Not at all - in fact, it's an advantage.

No, you don't need any prior experience. Tango is so simple that walking together is already a dance element in itself - and we can all do that!

No, if you come together, it's up to you whether you switch or not.

You generally choose one role, and that's the one you'll primarily learn. However, you'll find the foundation is the same for both, so you can switch quickly later on if you'd like to, or simply deepen your chosen role further.

Depending on how often you attend the beginners' classes, it takes 1-3 months.

No. In tango, you don't need to memorise countless step sequences. Instead, you learn a manageable set of movement possibilities and how to combine them flexibly. That way, you can dance freely and musically from quite early on.

Yes, because you're not learning a classical instrument - you're dancing with the feeling that the music sparks in you. Your body will automatically start to move musically as a result.

We generally have no age limit, though for minors prior arrangement is required.

No, special dance shoes aren't necessary. That said, it's a good idea to bring shoes with a smoother sole so you can glide slightly on a wooden floor, and that you feel comfortable in.

No, high heels aren't necessary. Flat shoes work just as well.

Wear whatever makes you happy and feel comfortable.

It's a good idea to bring something to drink and, if you tend to perspire a lot, a towel and a change of top. Beyond that, just bring whatever helps you spend the time with joy, fun and energy.
